In 1980 a mural was painted by Donna Tinneny with the help of Brian, Danny, Paul Tinneny and a young artist Mark Rogalski. Originally the mural was to be dedicated to local soldiers killed in Vietnam. As it turned out Police Officer Gary Farrell was murdered and the mural was dedicated to his memory. The mural has faded. After thirty years it is being restored. This mural is the first in the City of Philadelphia to be dedicated to a fallen Police Officer.
